Hindeloopen transformed by Light Projections

Hindeloopen becomes the fourth location after Drachten, Leeuwarden, and Heerenveen, where Kroft&Smids illuminate the winter with light projections. Buildings are magically transformed into places where stories are told through words or images. From a poem on a bare wall to a beautiful quote on a monument, or a facade turned into a movie screen.

Unique Routes and Unexpected Discoveries

Each location features a distinctive route with a unique combination of projections. The route guides visitors through unexpected places, offering a fresh perspective to locals and introducing tourists to the beauty of the area.

Light Route Event Details

The grand opening will take place on February 14 at 19:00 in De Foeke, Nieuwstad 49. The official opening ceremony will commence at 19:45. Attendees can then join Karina Kroft and Remko Smids to walk the light route.

Experience Winterljocht Hylpen

The mesmerizing light projections in Hindeloopen will be on display from February 14 to 23, between 18:30 and 22:00. The display features various forms, films, animations, poems, and quotes. Winterljocht Hylpen is free to visit and is a collaboration with the Stichting 800 jaar stadsrechten Hindeloopen.

During the spring break, several eateries will be open, and visitors can explore Museum Hindeloopen and the Schaatsmuseum, which host various activities in conjunction with Winterljocht Hylpen.
